Philippine Election

The countdown continuous for Philippines Presidential election in May 10, 2010.

And the countdown is 68 days away from general elections starting today, march 4, 2010.

The Philippines will choose for its 16th President & vice president in the making when full independence had been given to the people to choose or elect their supremes.

Likewise, this election shall also be the first time that the Commission of Elections will implement full automation of elections, meaning votes of filipinos will be counted my machines and not in manual manner, like what we did before.

Yes, I was once become a poll watcher in our community last 2004 election.

And it turned out to be scary. I was paid for Php 500.00 in equivalent for my precious life, to watch over counting of ballots, and delivering to municipality hall.

Counting had begun, in the middle of the night, electricity of the entire building turned down.

There was a screaming, yelling, and shouting.

The door slammed heavily, and I dont know where to go.

I dont know what happened next, it was really dark inside our room.

Only one thing came to my mind, that was part of election, as long as you wont fight back to the intruders, you wont be harmed.

And suddenly, lights came back, tally sheets had been scattered. I just didnt notice if plus or minus had been done in it.

They said, 15th President of the Philippines won by cheating.

I dont argue for that.

Hopefully, in the forthcoming election, as they said, that all kind of security level on protecting automated elections will be successful.

And the president and vice president to be declared are those who really voted and choosed by all filipinos which they may think deserve to be in Malacanan.

And who would you choose?
